In short
- We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, the international standard for accessible websites.
- We have run automated checks. We have not yet had the site tested by disabled users.
- If something is hard to use, tell us and we will fix it.
1. What we do
- You can use the whole site with a keyboard. A visible focus outline shows where you are, and there is a "Skip to content" link.
- Pages use proper headings, labelled form fields, and clear error messages that do not rely on colour alone.
- Text and controls meet colour-contrast requirements, and the layout adapts to small phone screens with no sideways scrolling.
- Photos are described when they show something specific. Decorative photos are hidden from screen readers.
- Background photo slideshows have a pause button and do not start by themselves if your device is set to reduce motion.
2. How we have checked
We test with automated tools (axe-core and Google Lighthouse) on every page, and we check the layout on phone, tablet and computer widths. Automated tools find many problems but not all. We have not yet tested with people who use screen readers or other assistive technology, and we plan to.
3. Known limits
- The map on the Contact page comes from OpenStreetMap, whose own accessibility we do not control. All contact details are also written as text.
- Some documents we publish later (such as PDF reports) may be less accessible than the web pages. Ask us for another format.
4. Tell us about a problem
If you find a page or feature hard to use, or you need information in another format, please tell us what the problem is and what device or assistive technology you use:
- Email: info@eagleswingscommunity.org
- Phone or WhatsApp: +254 721 706 755
We aim to reply within a few working days and to fix real barriers as quickly as we can.
